The 2020 Chevy Silverado added an optional 3.0 liter Duramax Inline-6 that returns an impressive 33 mpg while producing 480 lb-ft of torque.
The 2020 Chevy Silverado is the final major full-sized truck manufacturer to add diesel power to their line-up. The Silverado 1500 Diesel uses a 3.0 liter Straight-6 diesel engine that allows the truck to tow up to 9,300lbs or haul 1,870lbs.
This new diesel Silverado 1500 uses the 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission to help it achieve the impressive 33 mpg highway. The optional Diesel engine will run only $2,495 more than the standard 5.3 V8.
